Replacement

One good thing about owning a t-shirt printing company is that once in awhile you can just print something you just feel like printing. (Some days it seems like the only good thing…)

I saw these shirts online in a photo when the Replacements played last year after a long hiatus. I didn’t see the shirts for sale online, so I just printed my own for myself and in particular printed them for my daughter Ivy, who loves them.

Chris Mars on why they are called The Replacements, ““Like maybe the main act doesn’t show, and instead the crowd has to settle for an earful of us dirtbags. […] It seemed to sit just right with us, accurately describing our collective ‘secondary’ social esteem.”

Also called the “Mats as in Placemats.

They revered Alex Chilton. How great is that?

My favorites tunes of theirs are “Unsatisfied,” “Takin A Ride” and “Customer” but I hope they play some crazy covers or whatever they want when I get to see them tomorrow. Hell yeah, I’m psyched.

My copy of the shirt for myself, a pretty reasonable facsimile actually.
