Fashion Trends Part 2

Part 2 of 5 about fashion trends in the screenprinting world. Hanes reports increasing interest in the soft fabrics of their Nano collection, whether t-shirts or hoodies. This is true of both unisex and women’s shirts. Thinner fabrics are gaining traction, and their lightweight Nano hoodie has particularly been a favorite. Folks seem to know ringspun cotton when they find it now, and consumers really want that ringspun softness.

Pullover and zip hoodies continue to be big sellers.

The other trend that continues on the upswing is in “technical” fabrics, which in Hanes is their Cool Dri. I know many printers are finding some difficulty printing on the polyester fabrics, but they better learn because poly in many forms is here to stay.

Hanes "Cool Dri" fabrics are part of the trend in the industry of technical fabrics that have wicking and other qualities.

Hanes has a unique take on performance fabrics with their X-Temp shirts which are 60/40 ringspun cotton/poly rather than 100% poly
