Color of the Year: Pantone 18-3838 (Ultra Violet)

Most of us communicate color information using the Pantone Matching System or “PMS”, (though not to be confused with the condition PMS or Premenstrual Syndrome.) Pantone also every year announces the “Color of the Year.” They scour the globe and come up with a color. This year it is Pantone 18-3838 Ultraviolet. Web Wednesday: Color Me Pantone

The Pantone color of the year for 2015 is Marsala. That is one of the many fascinating things to learn on the Pantone site. Hanes has their chart front and center with a tab marked “Color,” duh!  American Apparel is pretty much impossible to find on their site. You

TBT – Roses are still red… Color traps.

This post from a five years ago still rings true. The other day somebody was talking about “teal” as a color which can be everything from a bright blue to a very green blue. Here’s about colors that can be a trap if you are not careful. We are reminded today of the wonders of the Pantone Matching System. As we deal with each other face
