Reflections at the End of the Trade Show Season (at the end of the retail era as we knew it…)

I woke up to a Business Insider article about the decline of retail stores.    They report that a third of malls are in danger of closing, and that visits to malls decreased 50% from 2010 to 2013. Noted at our industry shows, American Apparel will be closing their 110 retail locations and Abercrombie closing 60 outlets. Some are calling it the “retail apocalypse.” Add

Printed Threads’ Most Excellent Adventure

Our pal Brett Bowden lays some wisdom on us to start the new year. Two hearty thumbs up from the Ink Kitchen on his main points: 1. Ask us whatever you want about any form of decorating or any garment. If we don’t know the answer, we can ask one of a hundred experts we know at the show. If it still can’t be answered,

We have a guest post today from good printer and our good buddy Brett Bowden, El Capitan of Printed Threads in Dallas, Texas. There are many ways to print interior tags on shirts.  Tom’s post a while back showed the small screen printing presses that have hit the market in the past couple of years.  This week, I had the opportunity to visit a company
