ISS Long Beach 2019 Shop Talk: Dov Charney

He’s controversial, he’s candid, he’s a force.  Dov Charney, of Los Angeles Apparel, talks about how transparency and authenticity are more important than buzzwords when it comes to ethics and sustainability.

Web Wednesday: Congratulations Social Imprints!

Congratulations to our good friend Kevin McCracken and his crew at Social Imprints for winning the 2015 Fast Company & Mercedes Benz “Drive Your Business Forward” Contest

It’s a T-shirt Bro

These knuckleheads videotaped their fishing encounter with a weird looking but not rare sea creature called an ocean sunfish. The video of them declaring “it’s a tuna bro” and thinking it was some sort of sea monster went viral. They are trying to capitalize on their Andy Warhol 15 minutes of fame (go look up…

New Promo Video Do-Over

Last week I posted a new promo video that was shot at my shop.  Minutes after I posted the video it was taken down by Vimeo’s super smart copyright infringement detecting algorithm.  Well, it’s back up now.  I win.  Hope you enjoy this artsy view of textile screen-printing.

Burroughs was a beat generation writer of such classics as Naked Lunch and The Soft Machine. In this video clip he, while well over 80 years old, plugs some of his t-shirts…

T-shirts in the News Every Day Now

It seems like every day now I see a protest shirt on somebody in the news. Honestly, I think there is plenty to speak out about and shirts have been and always will be a way to get your message across so in fact it is not really surprising. The first shirt I helped somebody…

TBT: Not really, but sort of…

We’re pretty high-tech around here (well, at least by textile screen-printing standards).  I’d love to say that our screen coating methodology follows suit and show off pics or video of a bitchin’ auto-coater, but I can’t.  When it comes to screen coating, we still do it the old school way.  It’s not that I don’t…
